Support Collaboration in Hand Papermaking
Your gift will help us reach our $75,000 goal by the end of 2025—ensuring artists continue to create groundbreaking work through hand papermaking.
You can direct your gift to:
The Annual Fund – Sustains all our programs and daily operations.
The Education Fund – Expands access to hand papermaking through artist and student workshops, and brings theoretical programming to museums and universities.
The Emerging Artist Fund – Fosters papermaking collaborations for early-career artists.
The Studio Equipment Fund – Supports much needed upgrades to our papermaking studio.
When you give to Dieu Donné, you help push the boundaries of creativity.
Your support gives artists the rare opportunity to experiment with handmade paper—expanding their practice and discovering new ways to create.

2025 Year In Review
Studio Residencies, Fellowships, & Special Projects
This year, we collaborated with over 25 emerging and established artists.
Sam Moyer completed her Lab Grant Residency. This by-invitation residency provides one established artist per year the opportunity to work in depth in papermaking.
SaraNoa Mark, Sarah Hakani, Johannah Herr, and Stephanie Santana were selected as the 2025 Workspace Residency Program artists. Crystal Z Campbell, Jonathan Sanchez Noa, Simonette Quamina, and Ye Zhu completed their 2024 Workspace Residency cycle and presented their work in an exhibition in July, 2025.
Caroline Ongpin is the current Marabeth Cohen-Tyler Print/Paper Fellow. The fellowship is awarded annually to a BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, person of color) or underrepresented professional printer. Through research and experimentation, the fellow develops custom papers for different printing methods and explore creative techniques in the papermaking process to enhance imagery.
Mika Obayashi is the current West Bay View Foundation Fellow. This fellowship offers an immersive studio mentorship for a visual artist. Each fellow studies with Dieu Donné master papermakers, gaining practical experience working in a professional papermaking studio.
Glen Baldridge was the 2025 Benefit Artist, creating a series of psychedelic marbled pulp paint works which were on view for the first time at Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery.
Diana Al-Hadid, Abdolreza Aminlari, and Chitra Ganesh each produced their own Paper Variables series as part of Dieu Donné’s annual membership program.
Paul Anthony Smith, Kevin Beasley, and Jiha Moon are artists collaborating in handmade paper projects for exhibition events. Stay tuned!
