Gallery visits are available on weekdays, 10 am - 4 pm, by request. We’re closed on weekends.

Due to security restrictions at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, anyone visiting Dieu Donné must have a Brooklyn Navy Yard badge or guest pass to enter.

Please request your visit at least 2 - 3 business days ahead.

Our building’s passenger elevators are out of service. Please use the freight elevator or the stairs (six floors). If you need accessibility assistance, contact us at dieudonne@dieudonne.org before your visit and we’ll help plan your arrival.

How to Visit

1) Request a visit

Send us your preferred weekday and time between 10 am and 4 pm. We’ll confirm as availability allows.

2) Get your Navy Yard pass

Once your visit is confirmed, you’ll receive a Brooklyn Navy Yard visitor pass by email. It has a QR code and includes parking. Check your spam if you don’t see it!

3) Bring the pass with you

Have it on your phone or printed. Security won’t let you into the Yard without it, on foot or by car.

GETTING TO BUILDING 88

The Navy Yard has several entrances, and its buildings aren’t numbered in order.

A regular address search won’t take you to our building, so please use our Google Maps link.

METHODS OF TRANSPORTATION

On foot, transit, or rideshare

  1. Head to Flushing Ave at Adelphi St. Taking a taxi or rideshare? Ask to be dropped off here, not at a Navy Yard gate.

  2. Scan the QR code on your pass at the pedestrian turnstile. How to scan your pass.

  3. Building 88 is directly in front of you. Walk straight to the main doors.

By Car

  1. Enter at the Clinton Gate (Flushing Ave and Clinton Ave) and show your pass to security.

  2. Park in the visitor lots behind Buildings 77/86. Parking is included with your pass.

  3. Walk to Building 88. Stay alert! The Yard has active loading docks and heavy truck traffic.

Once You REACH bUILDING 88

  1. Enter through the main doors on the Flushing Ave (south) side of the building.

  2. Go up to the 6th floor by elevator.
    *Passenger elevators are currently out of service. Please use the freight elevator or the stairs.

  3. Follow the signs to Dieu Donné, Suite 602.

Heads up: Building 88 has an active loading dock at ground level. Please watch for trucks and moving vehicles.

If your pass won’t scan, you can’t find it (check your spam folder!), or you’re lost inside the Yard, call us during visiting hours and we’ll do our best to assist you.

ACCESSIBILITY

Dieu Donné is accessible to visitors with mobility disabilities, including those who use wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids. We're located on the sixth floor of Building 88 (formerly Building 3) in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

The building entrance includes a turnstile that is not wheelchair-accessible but a manual gate is available with a stair lift to the main elevators. If you'll need to use the accessible gate and/or the stair lift, please contact us in advance at dieudonne@dieudonne.org or call us at 212-226-0573 so we can have staff ready to assist.

Our passenger elevators are currently out of service, so all visitors will need to use the freight elevator to reach the studio. Dieu Donné staff will be on hand to guide you in and assist as needed. Once inside, there are no stairs required to move through our space. An all-gender, accessible bathroom is available onsite.

About a 20-minute walk from York St (F), High St (A/C), Clinton–Washington Avs (G), DeKalb Ave (B/Q/R).

NAVY YARD SHUTTLE

Free with your Navy Yard pass. Picks up near York St (F) and High St (A/C). Get off at Market Street Stop in the Navy Yard. Live shuttle map

BUS

B57 & B69 – Flushing Ave / Cumberland St or B67 – Market St / 9th Ave. From the bus, walk to the turnstile at Flushing Ave & Adelphi St.

NYC FERRY

The Astoria route stops at the Brooklyn Navy Yard (Dock 72), at the far end of the Yard from us. Allow about 5 minutes to walk.
