Subscribe to the 2011 Collector’s Series to receive this year’s new work in handmade paper! Each year, we select a mid-career artist to create a limited edition in the Dieu Donné studios. Your subscription membership will help support the creation of new works of art in handmade paper.
The sixth installment of this series will be created by David Opdyke, a Brooklyn-based artist known for his compellingly detailed sculptures, installations and drawings. Through these various medias the artist meditates on our consumer culture and the world at large. Having worked with our paper for years (see samples on the right), Opdyke’s obsessive ink drawings often relay an opposing sense of restraint and release.

About the Collector's Series
Every year, the Dieu Donné Art & Gallery committee selects a renown contemporary artist to produce a limited edition of thirty-five works in handmade paper to be offered to our Collector's Series subscribers at the pre-release price of $800.
Initial subscription is on a first-come, first-served basis and is good for a lifetime as long as subscription dues remain current. Subscription is non-transferable and all proceeds benefit the programs at Dieu Donné. Subscribers are contacted each spring in order to renew their subscriptions and the works are released each fall. Any remaining works then become available to non-subscribers at retail pricing.
